Most people know of Bing from his numerous film roles and chart-topping records, but to students at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington his name has long been associated with the library his family funded (which in the mid-1990s was converted to the student union). A statue of Bing complete with pipe, watches over students as they make their way to and from the union. In addition, the house where Bing grew-up is the Alumni House.
